Inflation's Secret Win, an $18 Billion AI Bet, and the Company Powering Every Chip on Earth!
Money Masters' Market Pulse Week 16
Dear Money Master,
Inflation just threw the market a curveball and almost nobody caught it. Wholesale prices came in less than half of what economists expected, and buried inside that report is a signal that could change the Fed's next move. We break down exactly what it means for your money.
Then, a startup most people had never heard of twelve months ago just became an $18 billion company. The secret? A $50 billion bet from one of the most powerful AI companies on the planet. We explain how that happens, and why it matters more than the number suggests.
Finally, there is one company that every chipmaker on Earth has to call when they want to build the most advanced semiconductors in existence. This week, it raised its own forecast, again. If you want to understand where AI is actually going, this is the company to watch.

The CIA Backed It. Wall Street Didnβt Get It.ππ°
Most tech companies are built to attract as many users as possible. Palantir was built to do the opposite. For years it worked in the shadows, serving intelligence agencies that couldn't publicly discuss what the software did or why they needed it. Today it generates over $4 billion a year. This is the full story. One article a day to transform your financial future. TAKE THE CHALLENGE!

π Economics:
Wholesale Prices Just Delivered a Quiet Win for Your Wallet!π READ MORE
Wholesale prices rose 0.5% in March, less than half of what economists expected. Strip out food and energy, and core prices barely moved at all. On the surface, it sounds like a boring data release. It isn't.
Here's the concept you need: the Producer Price Index, or PPI, measures what businesses pay before the costs reach you. Think of it as the first domino. When a factory pays less for raw materials and shipping, those savings eventually work their way down to store shelves. PPI is essentially inflation's early warning system, it tells you where consumer prices are heading before they get there.
What makes this week's number important is what's hiding inside it. Energy prices, gasoline up nearly 16%, diesel up 42%, drove most of the headline gain. But services costs, the part the Fed watches most closely because it reflects wage pressure and underlying demand, were flat. That's the real signal.
The Fed doesn't want to cut rates and reignite inflation. A tame services reading gives them breathing room to stay patient without slamming the brakes. Markets are now pricing in roughly a 1-in-4 chance of a rate cut by December, cautious, but the door isn't closed.
π» Technology:
A $50 Billion Anthropic Deal Just Turned This Startup Into an $18B Company!π READ MORE
Fluidstack, an AI data center startup spun out of Oxford, is raising $1 billion at an $18 billion valuation, more than doubling from $7.5 billion just a few months ago. The fuel behind that jump? A $50 billion deal signed with Anthropic to build custom data centers in Texas and New York. The company was barely known in the U.S. a year ago. Now it's relocating its headquarters from London to New York.
The concept here is infrastructure as a moat. Most AI companies, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, rent computing power from cloud giants like AWS or Google Cloud. It's fast, but it's expensive, and you're at the landlord's mercy on pricing and capacity. Building your own data centers means higher upfront costs but lower long-term bills and far more control over how fast you can scale.
Fluidstack isn't building generic cloud infrastructure. It builds facilities designed specifically for AI workloads, the way a Formula 1 team builds a car, not a dealership. That specialization is exactly why Anthropic signed a deal of that size with a company most people had never heard of.
When a $380 billion AI company stakes $50 billion on your infrastructure, that's not a contract, it's a validation. Investors noticed.
πΉEarnings:
ASML Just Raised Its Own Forecast. Here's Why That Matters for Every Chip on Earth!π» READ MORE
ASML beat revenue and profit expectations for the first quarter and raised its 2026 sales forecast to as high as $47 billion. The Dutch company posted $10.4 billion in revenue, and demand shows no signs of slowing. Memory chip makers in South Korea, Samsung and SK Hynix, are racing to ramp up production, and they all need ASML's machines to do it.
The concept: ASML holds a monopoly on the most critical step in advanced chip manufacturing. To make the smallest, fastest chips on the planet, manufacturers need a machine called an EUV lithography system, a device that uses extreme ultraviolet light to etch circuits onto silicon at a scale measured in atoms. One company in the world makes them. ASML.
That gives ASML something most companies can only dream of: pricing power with no real alternative. When AI demand pushes chip companies to build more capacity, ASML is the one supplier everyone has to call. Memory is especially tight right now, chip prices are hitting record highs because supply can't keep up with AI's appetite for storage and processing power.
The one real headwind is China, where export restrictions have cut ASML's sales from 36% to 19% of revenue in a single quarter. But with South Korea and Taiwan filling that gap, the overall picture remains one of a company that sits at the center of a tech boom it didn't cause and can't be cut out of.
